Most probably yes. I will check that later on.

Soo - I checked that. On my Debian system using fpc 3.0.0 and Lazarus 1.6 things seem to work as expected. I am not 100% confident in the lazarus handling of packages though...

JohnML1 wrote:Do i take version 7.2.4?

Yes, because it is the current stable version, where we do bugfixes only.

Re: Bug compiling Zcomponent Linux

Hello Fr0st, John Hmm, that function was made by me but IDK why compiler wants Ansistring as a result. Shouldn't String and AnsiString be the same in FPC? So it might just be that FPC tells you it wants to return AnsiString because String is an alias for AnsiString? @John: Your compiler tries to com...

Re: Bug compiling Zcomponent Linux

sorry, i used trunk RapidSVN tells me: svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/zeoslib/code-0/trunk Hmmm - the only one, I didn't check. I suggest you use Zeos 7.2 if you don't need OleDB or ODBC. If you need OleDB or ODBC use Zeos 7.3. All development happens there. Trunk usually lags behind Zeos 7.3. does gmail ...

Re: Bug compiling Zcomponent Linux

Hello John,

which branch of Zeos do you use? Zeos 7.2 or Zeos 7.3 or Zeos trunk?
Best regards,

Re: i can't read DBank?

Hello Majid,

could you probably prepare an example project and attach an example database? As far as I know, Undefined_Varchar_AsString_Length should do what you expect it to do.

With best regards,

Re: Problems with MYSQL 5.7 prepared queries

Hello Gunnar,

it seems that Egonhugeist has fixed the metadata bug already in the SVN. So you don't need to create a bug report. Thank you for your efforts :)

Re: Problems with MYSQL 5.7 prepared queries

Hello Gunnar, MySQL 5.7 should be supported. I see several issues here: ⋅ trying to use doCalcDefaults in the hopes that it solves your problem ⋅ an error when it comes to caching metadata - at least with MySQL ⋅ a feature request to extend the recognition of current_ti...

Re: Problems with MYSQL 5.7 prepared queries

Hello Gunnar, I had a phone call with Egonhugeist. For Zeos 7.2 you should not use the prepared statement. He will try to fix the problems in Zeos 7.3, so it will become available there. Please try the following: ⋅ use the emulated prepared statement again ⋅ In TZQuery -> Options...

Re: Problems with MYSQL 5.7 prepared queries

Hello Gunnar, Egonhugeist told me that prepared statements in MySQL have some serious limitations, which is why we don't use them by default. So I suggest, you use the emulated prepared statement. Regarding the handling of null values: There might be an issue that the statement has no chance to dete...

Erm - as far as I know, isc_tpb_autocommit is the default for Zeos 7.2 and Zeos 7.3 as soon as autocommit mode is enabled.

Re: ZQuery RefreshCurrentRow

Hello Bill, why don't you just do the changes in ZQuery1? ZQuery1.Edit; ZQuery1.FieldByName('foo').AsString := myStringValue; ZQuery1.FieldByName('bar').AsInteger := MyIntegerValue; ZQuery1.Post; This way ZQuer1 always will know the current state of the record? Best regards, Jan

Re: ZQUERY sent sql statement

Hmmm - did you register with anoter userame laready? The anwer is to use a TZUpdateSQL object. There you can specify your own SQL for updates, deletes and what not. There is a chapter about this in the Zeos Documentation collection
