Delphi and SQLite

Postby Cmasters2002 » 08.04.2012, 13:23

Hi I am looking for a free Delphi SQLite component set and have come acoross the Zeos Lib and have a couple of questions -

Is the project still under active development as I notice the current version seems to be a release from 2009?

Does it work with fastreports?

I only want the SQLite does it support the full functionallity of SQLite?

And finally will it work with Delphi XE2

Thanks

Colin

Yes it is. since the last 2 month are over 70 new commits done... And YOU can help us too.

Does it work with fastreports?

Don't know. Maybe you can tell us your expierences?

I only want the SQLite does it support the full functionallity of SQLite?

Use: http://zeos.firmos.at/viewtopic.php?t=3427
There you can find all information and how to get the latest revisions. (use TortoiseSVN...). I think your version is an old snapshot and to buggy!

And finally will it work with Delphi XE2

This is what we've to find out! Tell us your expierences.

Enjoy Zeos7

Cmasters2002,

ZEOSDBO-6.6.6-stable supports only FPC and Ansi Delphi compilers safely. No stable way to use it with a Full Unicode IDE like XE2. (i know there where some fixes done but..)

Zeos7 was a descendant of 6.6.. logical!
Zeos7 has it's alpha-state because of problems with exacly this full unicode IDE's since D2009. But in Zeos7 are a lot of new features aviable. I try to combinate all compiler classes in my testing-branch. But here i need some expiriences reports. I fixed a loot of problems concerning data loss for the newer IDE's, bla bla... :nerd:

But the best would be if you check it out by your selves. Please report me success, problems, hints additional ideas eventually...

So read my thread carefully and have a lot of fun!

Or try the trunc/testing-branch. (You warned now! :censored: )

Best regards
